Pedal components are made in the USA from 6061 aluminum. The pedal kit includes mounting instructions and stainless steel hardware.

The original design for opening the front bonnet on 1958-1961 Bugeye Sprites needs an upgrade. Q1’s front flip bonnet hinge kit allows easy access to the engine bay and includes an integrated bonnet stop. It also is the only product on the market that does not require drilling extra holes in the radiator support. The hinges themselves and the thrust washers for the sliding mechanism are machined from high-grade Delrin for silent operation without the need for grease or a spray lubricant. The rest of the kit is machined from 5052 aluminum to save weight. Simply put, these are the most meticulously-engineered bonnet hinges available.

Note: All hinge kits will ship with a pair of single spacer blocks rather than the stack of spacers as displayed in the last photo.

Description:
Finding it difficult to set the timing on your BMC A-series engine? This can certainly be a pain, due to the location of the original marks on the bottom of the engine. This timing pointer replaces the 5/16-24 timing cover bolt with a stainless stud. It can be installed on engines with the BMC pulley without removing the pulley, but the larger diameter MED pulley requires removal. Pair this with a bespoke timing strip for your pulley.

This timing pointer mimics the one Healey mechanics crafted for the Healey works cars for the 1968 Lemans 24hr endurance race. The pictured green engine with timing pointer is the last unsealed XSP engine, owned by a friend here in Texas.

About Q1 Classic Engineering

The “Q1” in Q1 Classic Engineering got its name from the code name at the factory that developed the Austin Healey Sprite. Erick founded this business to share parts and engineering solutions he has developed for his own 1959 Sprite autocross and fast road car.
